Each user can create up to 3 religions. This limit helps maintain quality and encourages thoughtful prompts. If you reach the limit, you can archive existing religions to make room for new ones.
4Can I edit my religion after creating it?
No, religions cannot be edited after creation. This maintains the authenticity of AI-generated content and prevents over-curation. If you are not satisfied with a result, you can archive it and create a new one.
5Are my religions public?
Yes, all religions are public by default. This enables discovery, sharing, and community engagement. Your name appears as the founder, and others can follow your religions.
6What is an archetype?
Archetypes are optional creative modifiers that influence how your religion is generated. Examples include "Vengeful," "Peaceful," "Chaotic," or "Ancient." Selecting an archetype adds a specific flavor to your religion's generation.
7What does following a religion do?
Following a religion adds it to your dashboard activity feed so you can keep track of it. It also increases the religion's follower count, which helps it appear in trending and top religion lists.
8Can I delete my religion?
Yes, you can archive your religion from your dashboard. Archived religions are hidden from discovery pages. Followers will see a message that the religion has disbanded.
9How does the AI generate religions?
We use OpenAI's GPT-4o to generate text content (names, beliefs, commandments, rituals) and DALL-E 3 to create unique creature mascot images. Your prompt, combined with optional archetypes, guides the generation.
10Is the service free?
Yes, Create a Religion is currently free to use. We may introduce premium features in the future, but core religion creation will remain accessible.
